Alphacam Cnc Program Examples

Recommendations for CAM from AutoCAD? WoodWOP is not a bad program. But AlphaCAM will do more for. Fusion doesn't even have part nesting yet for example.
My company has purchased two Homag machines, a 3 axis and a 5 axis CNC. Rufus Chaka Masterjam Raritan here. We have no previous CAM experience and Homag naturally wants to push their WoodWOP program on us, but its not a great product. The Goddess Sekhmet Robert Masters Pdf Converter there.
We use AutoCAD to produce our engineering drawings and I was wondering of your experience with a CAM product that could make the transition from AutoCAD to production as seamless as possible (and without having to duplicate drawings) edit: AlphaCAM. It has apprently been purchased already. Thanks to everyone for the input! While Fusion360/HSM is killer, and I highly recommend them, they require a 3D modeling based workflow. OP, I'm assuming that when you say AutoCAD you're working mostly in 2D?
If that's the case then HSM is going to be more work than a simpler 2.5D vector-based CAM package. But you'll need to go to a 3D based workflow to get the most out of that five axis mill you just bought anyways. So if you aren't working in 3D, you'll probably want to start, and maybe look at doing more of the design work in Fusion or migrating to an Invetor HSM suite or some other solids-based CAM like MasterCAM. Personally, I love working in solid modeling but all of our engineering is AutoCAD 2D based (although we do have the 3D package). The issue that I'm trying to address is that my boss wants the mechanical guys to be able to take elements of their AutoCAD files and turn them into g-code without having to duplicate much or any of the drawings. The machines, for now, will be used for aircraft cabinetry, so it will be basically 2D cuts for a while.
